Liebling Counseling

I am Stephanie Liebling, MSW, a licensed clinical social worker practicing mental health therapy. I strive to encourage, teach and support self-understanding, self-awareness and self-sufficiency while also acknowledging the need for support through family, friends and the community. I strongly believe that the therapeutic process is one part of a comprehensive support network for the client. My therapeutic work is guided by the Strengths philosophy, professional ethics and a spirit of serving this community.

    My Service Standard

  • My first priority is you the client.
  • All people are treated with dignity and respect no matter their race, gender, ethnicity, culture, or religion.
  • Treatment plans are based on the needs and goals of the client, not on the insurance benefit plan of the employer.
  • Treatment plans are honest, purposeful and may be discussed openly with clients. Any assignment, approach, or plan has a purpose that can be explained.
  • I continue my clinical education to become better informed and committed to providing a high level of integrity to my services.

Deciding on Therapy

I recognize that the decision to seek therapy or place your child in therapy is important and often not an easy decision. Often people seek therapy during a crisis when emotions are high. At Liebling Counseling I strive to create a comfortable, safe place for your personal journey through these tough times. I believe that a crisis in life should be viewed as an event rather than becoming a life-long burden. My goal is to “walk beside” you as we work on the concerns and goals you bring to therapy. I also believe that I am here for the challenges in life – not your entire life. Therapy should be an event in your life; your personal journey should be lifelong.

This website is designed to provide you a background on my practice and to answer your questions about professional counseling. If I can be of service please feel free to browse for what you need and contact me with any questions that are not answered here.

Heading Level 3

We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire. The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when? Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway.

"For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that this was my life. This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness.

Happiness is the way." — Alfred D Souza.
